I am Dr. Michael Hong, Chief Physician of Gangwon Korean Medicine Clinic.

Gangwon Korean Medicine Clinic, founded in Jung-dong, Daejeon in 1949, relocated to Jongno, Seoul in 1961, and has operated in Hannam-dong since 1993, carrying on a legacy through three generations. We've evolved traditional prescriptions and methods to align with modern life.

My perspective on Korean Medicine goes beyond mere tradition; my studies in Biochemical Engineering at Cornell University and continued engagement in both the academic and clinical realms of Korean Medicine have consistently highlighted its scientific underpinnings. Korean Medicine is a holistic discipline, integrating biochemistry, physics, mathematics, systems engineering, psychology, and neuroscience to address the entirety of a patient's well-being.

Consequently, I consider Korean Medicine not as an relic of the past, but as a sophisticated medical system encompassing knowledge that contemporary science has yet to fully elucidate. The current strides in artificial intelligence and neuroscience are finally allowing for the scientific interpretation and comprehension of Korean Medicine's principles.
