What is a Developmental Disorder?
Developmental Disorder (發育障碍) refers to a state where a child fails to show normal growth and development appropriate for their age in physical, mental, and emotional aspects. Height or weight may be significantly smaller or slower than peers, and development in cognition, social skills, and language may be delayed. This may stem from complex causes such as growth environment, nutrition, hormones, and illnesses, rather than simple genetic or constitutional differences.
